Movers checklist

Our handy guide will help you avoid the most common pitfalls of moving and make your relocation as easy as possible!

Make sure that all your shelves are emptied and everything is packed up before our removal vehicle arrives.

Pack your relocation boxes so that they can be stacked without the risk of damaging any of your possessions. Remember to assemble your cardboard boxes correctly so they don’t break while carrying.

We advise you to label each box with appropriate labeling for easier unpacking.

Alternatively, you can ask us to pack your stuff beforehand making your job a lot easier!

It is important to protect your walls and floors from damage while moving. While carrying heavy furniture or large household items accidents can occur and it is smart to prepare your residence for any accidents. Especially narrow corridors or tight spaces are important to protect from possible damage.

We only use reusable materials while protecting your surfaces. This is so we can keep the carbon footprint of your relocation project to a minimum.

As an alternative, please consider our protection services to save you the time and energy of protecting your space!

Here are a few tips that will fasten your relocation and make our work a bit easier:

  • Make sure that there is a space for our relocation vehicle in your yard or a space to park on the street
  • Ensure that there is clear access from the relocation vehicle to your apartment, without any blockages
  • Keep us informed about your relocation conditions so there are as few surprises as possible
  • Inform us the dimensions of your elevator beforehand as it can affect our timetable drastically

If you have any especially large furniture or extra large items like a piano for example, please tell us about it so we can determine the need for a removal lift. Removal lift can be easily arranged by calling us about it!

Inform your housing cooperative about your removal project to ensure the days are available for your project and no other removals are scheduled for those days.

Reserve enough time for your removal, as unknown factors such as a broken elevator may cause a delay in the process.

Inform your employer of your relocation as they may contribute to your moving costs. Ask for a day off if needed.

Remember to make a notification of change of residence!

Since you’ll be packing up all of your stuff anyway, why not use this as an opportunity to get rid of the stuff you don’t need? Think carefully about what you want to take with you to your new apartment. We suggest the KonMari method as you go through your stuff while taking a trip through memory lane in your old flat!

Remember that we provide a recycling service and can help you get rid of any unwanted stuff if agreed upon in advance!
